Recommended Quick Detach (QD) Swivels
We’ve sold thousands of our BluCollar Tactical Patriot Slings and constantly get asked what QD swivels to use. Today we’ll share which QD’s we recommend for our sling any why.
We strongly recommend staying away from the cheap quick detach sling swivel! The “over seas brands” of QD swivels are not a good choice… We’ve had many of them fail during our trials. You’ll see them all over on Amazon and other websites at about 1/4 of the cost of the USA Made swivels. They are complete junk and should not be trusted.
We have tested the following QD swivels and strongly recommend the below list.
The first one we recommend is the Magpul Industries Quick Detach Sling Swivel, Model Number: MAG540.

This quick detach sling swivel is solid! At the time of this writing they are pricing it under $15. (May change in the future)
Another strong product is the BRAVO COMPANY USA Gunfighter QD (Quick Detach) Heavy Duty Sling Swivel Flush Plunger Black. This one has the recessed push button to reduce accidental detachments. They are USA made and made tough as nails.
The Midwest Industries QD also has a recessed button and may be the same product… We’re not sure. Either way, it’s also a quality product and a solid choice! This price might save you a little. (at the time of writing the Midwest Industries QD is slightly cheaper than the Bravo Company) Check both links for best price.
